On July 11th, 2024 my home state of Vermont once again experienced catastrophic flooding after extremely heavy rains. Our home is on a hill and was fortunately not affected, but the close-by historic village of Plainfield in the Winooski River valley was devastated by flash floods.
Proceeds from this special benefit sale will go directly to help the dozens of friends and neighbors who are now homeless or trying to repair badly damaged houses. In addition, many small central Vermont farms have been severely impacted by this recent flooding and need financial help.
I’m delighted to offer these paintings from my “Elements of Place” series to you at the discounted price of $300. They were created in 2015 during my year painting in a wetland in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and included in the “Eyes on the Land” exhibition at the Shelburne Museum. (You can watch my five-minute slidetalk on that project here.) Each painting is 12” x 12”, oil on linen panel, and sold unframed. Click on image to purchase.
Thank you for your interest in supporting flood recovery in this beautiful state!
UPDATE: All the paintings here sold almost immediately. Thank you so much to the twelve collectors and to all of you for your interest! If you’d like to help flood victims in my town, a GoFundMe you can donate to is here.
